CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVATE POLICY
The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
Exceptions include:
- Suspected child abuse or dependant adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
- If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in insuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
EMERGENCY POLICY
You are welcome to call at 516-569-7717,and if we are unavailable at the time of your call, please leave a messagewith a few convenient times to reach you and an alternate phone number, at which you can be reached. We will return your phone call at our earliest convenience. A voicemail system is available 24 hours a day, though we are NOT on call in the event of emergency.

TERMINATION POLICY
You have the right to terminate treatment at any time. We recommend that you allow at least two sessions for closure before treatment is finally terminated. Advanced Mindcare LLC reserves the right to terminate treatment if treatment recommendations are not followed or refused. In such case, you will be referred to another professional for continued care.
